A visibly infuriated Rep. Louie Gohmert (R-Texas) tore into Attorney General Eric Holder after his time to speak had expired during a House Judiciary Committee hearing Wednesday, Huffington Post reports.

“The attorney general will not cast aspersions on my asparagus,” said Gohmert, confusing and amusing onlookers.

The comment followed Holder’s assertion that Gohmert had “made statements as matters of fact” when Gohmer alleged the FBI failed to thoroughly investigate Tsarnaev prior to the Boston Marathon bombings.

“You point out one thing that I said that was not true,” Gohmert shot back.

“The only observation I was going to make is that you state as a matter of fact what the FBI did and did not do. Unless somebody has done something inappropriate, you don’t have access to the FBI files,” Holder said. “I know what the FBI did. You cannot know what I know. That’s all.”

“I cannot have a witness challenge my character,” Gohmert said, after he was informed his time to speak had expired. However, Gohmert continued talking despite other committee members asking him to observe rules and abstain.
